Pothos Care Guide
Light
Pothos grows best in bright, indirect light, but it is also very adaptable and can cope well in lower light areas. Brighter conditions usually encourage faster growth and better variegation on patterned varieties. Avoid strong direct sun, especially in the afternoon, as this can scorch the leaves.
Water
Water your Pothos when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. It is better to let the soil dry slightly between waterings than to keep it constantly wet. Always make sure excess water can drain away, as soggy compost can lead to root rot and yellowing leaves..
Humidity
Pothos is happy in average household humidity, which makes it an easy plant for most homes. It can tolerate drier air, but it may enjoy a little extra humidity in warmer rooms or during winter when indoor heating is on. Wiping the leaves now and then can also help keep the plant healthy.
Propagation
Pothos is very easy to propagate from stem cuttings. Cut just below a node, making sure each cutting has at least one leaf and one node, then place it in water or moist soil. Keep the cutting warm and in bright, indirect light, and roots should begin to form within a few weeks.
Care tips
Trim long stems if you want to keep your plant bushy and tidy. Feed lightly during spring and summer to support healthy growth. If your plant becomes root bound or the soil is tired, repot it into fresh compos
