From: £3.00Fresh live Cushion Moss, also known as Pin Cushion Moss, is perfect for terrariums, moss bowls, fairy gardens and natural craft projects. Ethically harvested and easy to care for, it adds soft green texture to displays and is available in multiple sizes.
Our cushion moss is ethically harvested, always with permission and sustainable practices. This is the only live moss that we obtain from a trusted supplier to ensure a consistent supply. However, we still take care to clean through all moss on arrival ensuring you only ever get the gold standard quality of moss you expect from us.
This moss offers vibrant green, dense mounds perfect for terrariums, fairy gardens, soil toppers, and crafts like moss walls or bowls. Easy to care for, just mist or water occasionally.

Fresh Premium Sphagnum Moss In Classic Green/Brown
From: £4.00We handpick our gorgeous Sphagnum moss from our exclusive sites in the North of Scotland. In these locations there are forestry operations, so we carefully pick our moss before these areas are disturbed by the machinery.
We also spread our picking around our sites so as not to overpick any specific area.
We have Sphagnum moss in either our ‘classic’ green/brown or natural stunning pink varieties.
- Make your own moss pole, we recommend about 250g per 30cm of pole you want to make.
- Use in your substrate mixes – for example, mix it with sand to make the perfect carnivorous plant soil.
- Use as a layer in your terrarium as a natural alternative to mesh above the drainage layer.
- Ideal for propagation – especially ‘string’ plants like string of hearts, string of pearls etc

Please note that as this is natural moss there will be some variances in colour.
The moss looks wonderful when paired with one of our green or pink moss poles.

Fresh Live Feather Moss – Glittering Wood Moss/Tamarisk
From: £4.00We pick our feather moss in small batches from our local private working forests. At these locations the moss can be destroyed due to the forestry operations, so we find a new life for it. This is a beautiful moss with feather-shaped strands that will grow beautifully in your terrarium or vivarium.
Your feather moss may be one or more of a few different species which all commonly grow together or in similar conditions:
- Glittering Wood Moss (Hylocomium splendens)
- Common Tamarisk Moss (Thuidium tamariscinum)
- Common Hook Moss (Cratoneium commutatum)
This moss is also often known as fern moss, silky forklet moss, glittering wood moss or stairstep moss.
To keep your moss happy it will enjoy lots of humidity but it isn’t too fussed about a lot of light. It will fare well in light, but shouldn’t be exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight.

Moss poles are the ultimate form of support for your plants. They are especially useful for any plants with aerial roots, such as Monsteras and Philodendrons as they emulate the natural jungle habitat. The roots will reach out and sink into the moist fresh moss pole and use it to grow bigger, better and stronger!
Every moss pole is handmade to order and very easy to install. Stick it in the soil and gently tie some of the provided jute string to your plant stem and pole to help them out.

Little Shaggy Moss (Rhytidiadelphus Loreus) – Naturally Sourced Carpet Moss

Handpicked from permitted areas, this robust and spreading moss brings a piece of the tranqul woodland right to your garden or indoor moss projects. Celebrated for its thick shoots and vibrant green ‘leaves’, it’s as stunning in appearance as it is versatile in use.
Features:
- Distinctive Botanical Profile: Featuring irregularly pinnate, long shoots (15–20 cm), with a pleated surface and a red stem that contrasts beautifully against the greenery.
- Unique Leaf Structure: Leaves are about 3 mm long, with a broad oval base narrowing to a tapering tip, curved and uniformly pointing in one direction, enhancing the moss’s lush texture.

To keep our moss at the highest quality, we only keep a limited stock of a few square metres of each type at a time. We can quickly gather moss for any larger orders, but please allow for up to 10 days for us to pick, pack and ship your moss if you require a large amount.
