  • Monstera Dubia Shingle Plant

    Monstera Dubia Shingle Plant

    £33.00

    Monstera Dubia Shingle Plant

Monstera dubia is a fascinating climbing aroid often called the Shingle Plant due to the way its leaves naturally lie flat against surfaces as it grows. In the wild it climbs tree trunks in Central and South American rainforests, using its roots to attach tightly to bark.

When grown indoors on a moss pole or board, the plant recreates this natural behaviour. The juvenile leaves are heart shaped with beautiful silver variegated patterning and sit flush against the support, creating a very unusual and decorative display unlike typical trailing houseplants.

Love a Moss Pole – Natural Support For Thriving Plants

Many climbing houseplants, especially varieties like Monstera and Philodendron, grow best when given vertical support. A moss pole gives these plants something to hold onto, helping them grow taller, stronger, and more lush over time. You’ll often see larger leaves and more mature growth patterns when a plant has space to climb.

Our ‘Love a Moss Pole’ collection includes a wide selection of climbing and vining houseplants that naturally seek support. If you’re just getting started or looking to add to your collection, these plants pair beautifully with our handmade moss poles or fresh moss for a DIY setup.

For best results, position your climbing indoor plant in a bright spot with indirect light and keep the moss pole slightly moist to encourage aerial roots to attach.

Not sure what to pick? Our team is always happy to help with personalised advice and care tips. Support your climbing plants with one of our handcrafted moss poles or explore our range of fresh moss to create your own.

I bought this as additional purchase to go along with the moss pole I bought. At first, I didn’t realise how big it was going to be or how I was supposed to use it. I think it waters the moss pole great, although sometimes I find that the water trickles down one side rather than all over but that might be down to me not knowing how to use it properly. Overall, I’m happy I bought it and would highly recommend it 🙂
