The chameocereus as advertised and photographed were green. The example I received was covered in a fine brown scale. I have seen this before in other cacti in poor condition - sometimes due to poor watering habits or high humidity. This effects the surface of the plant, discolouring it into a brown scaly-like covering. I was and remain concerned about the condition but will watch the plant closely to see how it fairs. It does NOT resemble the photo examples on sale. I have provided you a 5* ebay review but, in this review, I want you to know my private concern with this product. I WAS expecting a green plant and will be most put out if this dies or withers!!
