It’s not only beneficial for terrariums but also an outstanding drainage material for vivarium and terrariums which allows to maintain a balanced ecosystem.

Beyond physical support for moss or plants, the lava stones play a significant role in biological filtration. Its expansive surface area provides a habitat for beneficial bacteria maintaining a healthy environment in your ecosystem.

Lava rock can be used in vivariums and terrariums for microlandscaping. Plant small ferns, moss and other plants into natural holes (or drilled) to get a very natural effect. The lava rock pores will absorb water and keep plants and moss hydrated.

You can use small pieces or glue a few together to create bigger rocks.
