Description
The Staghorn fern is a beautiful plant with uniquely shaped fronds that looks like a Stag’s horns, hence the name. This plant can be also mounted and grown in moss or draping from a hanging basket.
Staghorn Ferns are epiphytic or lithophytic but not a parasite.
This plant loves high humidity and will thrive in shaded to medium-light spots. Water when the soil slightly dries out (top half of the pot) and don’t keep the soil dry for too long time.
Epiphyte are plants that grow on another plant and use it as a host to receive nutrients and moisture.
Lithophyte are plants that grow on rocks, cliff faces and edges of stone formations and do not need soil to thrive.
