Fresh Live Feather Moss – Green and Versatile
We pick our Feather moss, Thuidium tamariscinum (common Tamarisk-moss) in very small batches when gathering our other mosses. This is a beautiful moss with feather-shaped strands that will grow beautifully in your terrarium or vivarium.
Sometimes we may also have other varieties of the feather moss including: T. assimile or T. delicatulum or even Cratoneum commutatum (common Hook-moss) as they often live together.
This moss is also often known as fern moss, glittering woodmoss or stairstep moss.

The moss can remain in our eco bags for a couple of weeks, just keep it out of direct sunlight and occasionally allow some airflow inside it.
To keep your moss happy it will enjoy lots of humidity but it isn’t too fussed about a lot of light. It will fare well in light, but shouldn’t be exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight.
