Saxifraga stolonifera is also known as creeping saxifrage, strawberry begonia, strawberry geranium, pink begonia, strawberry saxifrage, creeping rockfoil, Aaron’s beard, mother of thousands, roving sailor but it’s not related to begonia or geranium.

This beautiful plant is native to China, Japan and Korea and is relatively easy to care for. Needs a bright spot and plenty of water during the growing season but in winter you should let the soil dries out.

 

How often should I water my Saxifraga Stolonifera during different seasons?
In the growing season, ensure the plant is watered frequently, keeping the soil consistently moist. However, during winter, allow the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering.
Is the Saxifraga Stolonifera suitable for low-light environments?
Yes, it thrives in low to medium light conditions, making it ideal for less sunny spots in your home. However, it does appreciate a bright spot without direct sunlight for optimal growth.
