The Lepismium Bolivanium is not your regular cactus. Unlike most cacti that dwell in desert-like environments, this vivid trailing epiphyte (a plant that grows in or on the trunks and limbs of other plants and trees) is native to the tropical evergreen forests of Bolivia.
Found only in these forests high above sea level in warm humid environments. It also goes by the common name Chain cactus which perfectly describes its look.
Overall this plant is perfect for those who may not have the environment to house a dessert-style cactus but still want to be part of the club. This very forgiving plant can tolerate lower light conditions and a touch of neglect making it a great choice for beginners or those who often forget to water their plants but still want a touch of green in their homes.
Please note due to nature of the product every single plant will be different and unique, there may be some cosmetic damages on the leaves which do not impact plants health.

Lepismium also known as Chain Cactus is very similar to Rhipsalis. This species of cactus is native to Bolivia
Care Instructions:
The cactus requires bright, indirect light and should be protected from direct sunlight, which can cause the leaves to turn yellow. Watering should be done sparingly and only when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering can cause the roots to rot.
*The plant is not toxic to pets*
**Q: How often should I water my Lepismium Bolivianum and what are the signs of overwatering?**
A: Water your Chain Cactus sparingly, only when the soil has completely dried out. Signs of overwatering include soft, mushy stems or leaves and rot at the base of the plant. If the plant looks puffy or discoloured, it’s time to let it dry out.
**Q: Can the Lepismium Bolivianum thrive in an office environment with fluorescent lighting?**
A: Yes, this plant can adapt to lower light conditions, including those found in many office settings. It thrives under bright, indirect light so positioning it near a source of natural light or a well-lit area with artificial lighting would be ideal.
**Q: Is the Lepismium Bolivianum suitable for homes with pets?**
A: Absolutely! This plant is non-toxic to pets, making it a fantastic choice for pet owners who want to keep both their furry friends and their home green and vibrant without any worry.
☀️☀️▫️ (Medium)
The Lepismium Bolivianum thrives in bright, indirect light. It’s best to keep it away from direct sunlight to avoid leaf discoloration. A spot near a window with a sheer curtain would be ideal to filter the intensity of direct sunlight.
💧▫️▫️ (Low)
Water sparingly, only when the soil has completely dried out. This plant is quite drought-tolerant, appreciating more of a ‘soak and dry’ method rather than frequent watering, which can lead to root rot.
🌡️🌡️▫️ (Average)
Lepismium Bolivianum prefers typical indoor temperatures, ideally between 18°C and 24°C. It can tolerate fluctuating temperatures but should be kept away from draughty areas and direct heat sources.
💦💦▫️ (Moderate)
While this plant can adapt to less humid conditions, it enjoys a bit of humidity. Regular misting or a pebble tray can help increase the humidity around the plant, especially during dry winter months.
Repot your Lepismium Bolivianum every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix to ensure proper drainage and prevent water retention that could harm the plant’s roots.
This plant is non-toxic to pets, so it’s safe to keep around your furry friends without worry.
Place your Lepismium Bolivianum in high-light areas such as near east or west-facing windows. It’s perfect for hanging baskets or high shelves where its trailing vines can elegantly drape down.
This plant helps in purifying the air, making it not just a visually appealing addition to your home but a functional one too!
The Chain Cactus is a unique, easy-care plant that adds a touch of the exotic with its cascading growth and minimal water needs. It’s ideal for those who love the look of greenery but might not have the time for high-maintenance care.
