Mimosa Pudica, the extraordinary plant also called Sensitive Plant has the remarkable ability to respond and react to touch.
The Mimosa Pudica also referred to as the Sensitive Plant, Touch-me-not or Sleeping Grass, features delicate fern-like leaves that instantly react to the gentlest touch. As your fingers will brush against its leaves, you’ll witness a captivating sight as they close up, this unique trait has earned it another nickname shy plant.
The plant will enjoy medium-high humidity, preferably when the soil stays slightly moist but not wet. Make sure the plant will receive plenty of light, preferably a few hours of morning or afternoon direct sunlight.
The plant is annual and perennial, depending on care. With plenty of light and good lighting conditions can thrive for multiple years.
IMPORTANT:
When you receive your plant most likely all leaves will be closed due to movement of the box, lack of light in transport as well as travel stress.
Leave the plant to rest after travelling, do not make any big changes like repotting etc. The plant may need a few days before will start reacting to touch.
It should just take a few seconds but can take up to a minute to write your guide.
