How often should I water my Cissus Striata?
Water your Sugar Vine Plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. During active growth periods, typically in warmer months, this might be once a week, but always check the soil moisture first to avoid overwatering.
Can the Cissus Striata be used with a moss pole for climbing?
Yes, this plant loves to climb and can be paired with a moss pole to encourage vertical growth. Attaching the vines gently to the pole can help guide its growth and create a stunning natural display in your home.
Is the Cissus Striata suitable for homes with pets?
Yes, the Cissus Striata is pet-friendly and safe for homes with animals. However, it’s always good practice to place houseplants out of easy reach of pets to prevent any accidental damage to the plant or discomfort to your pets.

☀️ Light

☀️☀️▫️ (Medium)

The Cissus Striata thrives in a variety of light conditions from partial shade to bright indirect light. It’s best to keep it out of direct midday sunlight to prevent leaf burn. A spot near a north or east-facing window would be ideal.

💧 Water

💧💧▫️ (Medium)

This plant likes its soil to be kept lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant’s growth slows down.

🌡️ Temperature

🌡️🌡️▫️ (Average)

Cissus Striata prefers average room temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid sudden temperature drops and cold drafts which can stress the plant.

💦 Humidity

💦💦▫️ (Moderate)

This vine enjoys a bit of humidity but typically does well in normal home environments. For added humidity, mist the leaves occasionally or place a humidifier nearby.

🪴 Repotting

Repot your Sugar Vine every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining potting mix to encourage healthy growth and prevent waterlogging.

🐾 Pet Friendliness

This plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a fantastic choice for pet owners.

✅🪴 Recommended Locations at Home

The Cissus Striata is versatile and looks great in hanging baskets or climbing up a moss pole. Ideal locations include living rooms, studies, or kitchens where it can enjoy bright, indirect light.

🌬️🪴 Air Purifying

This plant is known for its air purifying qualities, helping to remove common household toxins from the air, making it a healthy addition to your home or office.

✨ Other Plant Features

Aside from its air-purifying abilities, the Sugar Vine is celebrated for its fast growth and lush, glossy foliage that adds a touch of vibrancy to any space.
