Most plants will benefit from repotting every 1-2 years to keep them healthy and happy.

This is a drop-off service, just book a day and timeslot and drop your plant off with us.

When your plant is ready, we will send an email or text. It usually takes between 6-24h at the most.

Please note that to protect our plant stock, any plants showing signs of pests will be refused service. We kindly ask you to inspect all your plants for signs of pests before bringing them in. For more information, please refer to our article on plant pests.

There is a non-refundable deposit of a minimum £10 to be paid at the time of booking.

You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours in advance of your drop-off time.

By booking this service, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Read our guide on when to repot your plants here!

Repotting brings many benefits for your plant. Fresh soil rich in nutrients helps the plant to grow and helps roots to receive more air.

The new potting mix will be more loose which helps to prevent waterlogging, overwatering and root rot. Regularly changed soil also helps with pest prevention, as any contamination will be replaced.

1. Inspect your plant for any health issues, such root rot etc

2. Select a suitable potting mix and pot size

3. We will then repot the plant.

4. Clean leaves, with neem oil mix or organic pesticide and prune the plant leaves if necessary.

5. Discuss future care instructions.

6. Free hugs with Noel our shop dog included with every visit.

These prices are based on the new pot size (width) that we use for your plant:

  • Extra Small: up to 8cm – £3
  • Small: 9-11cm – £7
  • Medium: 12-15cm – £13
  • Large: 16-18cm – £17
  • XLarge: 19-21cm – £21
  • XXLarge: 22-26cm – £26
  • Huge: Above 27cm – Please get in touch to confirm the price

Please note there is a mimum charge for the service £10, so please feel free to bring multiple plants.

These are the prices per pot repotted. This includes our premium homemade potting mix, new nursery pot and tips and care advice for your plants and environment.

Additional products such as moss poles, soil toppers, planters etc are also available for an additional charge.

At the time of booking, we take a £10 non-refundable deposit. The rest of the payment will be taken on collection of your plant.

Testimonials

  • “I had a fantastic time during this service. Pam and Craig were the height of helpful, chatty and informative. Pam took her time to repot my VERY rootbound Areca Palm and repotted my cast iron plant also. I also got a lovely moss pole for my Monstera and it’s perked up beautifully. They encouraged me to get in touch with any questions at all and though I haven’t as yet, I feel they were 100% genuine in saying so. Thanks so much!”
    Ciara M.
  • Pam and Craig were a great help, repotting my monstera and providing a high-quality moss pole to help the plant grow. Both were extremely knowledgeable and offered great tips on how to better care for the plant. Would highly recommend people visit the shop to see all the beautiful plants they have on offer.

Drop off terrarium maintenance

Bring your terrarium to our shop and we will check over it and discuss what you would like done. Then, simply leave it to us and we will restore your terrarium to it’s former glory!

We will inspect your terrariums health and offer advice as well as listen to your ideas.
We will carry out the work, removing or adding any plants or moss as required.
We will get in touch when your restored terrarium is ready to collect!

Terrariums are incredibly self-sustaining ecosystems. Some have even existed for decades without ever being opened!

However, sometimes a terrarium needs a little help. It may be new and settling in, has been moved to a new environment or the moss or plants simply aren’t happy and have chosen to exit life. This is nature after all!

This is why we now provide this handy service to replenish your terrarium wherever needed.

We can add or remove plants, moss, decorations and even add isopods or springtails.

All you need to do is book your drop-off time and pay a small charge for our time. Bring your terrarium along to us and we will work with you to create the terrarium of your dreams!

There is a non-refundable charge of £15 to be paid at the time of booking.

You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours in advance of your drop-off time.

Every terrarium is different and so the price will be adjusted according to the requirements. Our base price is £15 for our time in assessing and working on the terrarium. If there is an exceptional circumstance (e.g. a very large terrarium), we will charge an additional £15 per hour for work carried out.

All plants, moss, substrate, isopods etc that may be added will be charged at the retail price and we will discuss this fully with you at the time of drop off.

At the time of booking, we take £15 for the base price and our assessment. The rest of the payment will be taken on collection of your terrarium.

  • Pretty unhappy terrarium with dead plants and moss transformed into a thriving ecosystem with isopods and sprintails. We rebuilt all layers, added fresh moss and selection of plants including asparagus fern, begonia and fittonia.

Due to the nature of the plants and moss, it can take anywhere from a week to a few months for your terrarium to fully settle. During this period, many changes can occur.

While some terrariums thrive from day one, others may require adjustments to create the ideal environment for your plants and moss. It’s possible that some plants may perish, mould may appear on elements of the terrarium, or you might need to adjust the terrarium’s location in your home.

In the first week, it’s important to monitor water condensation on the walls. If there is consistent and heavy condensation (making it nearly impossible to see inside), you should open the container for a few days.

Conversely, if there is no condensation (especially in the early morning or late afternoon), it may be necessary to add a spoon or two of water.

Our team takes pride in creating beautiful and thriving terrariums. We are happy to address any naturally occurring issues within 7 days of collection. Beyond this period, charges will apply for maintenance time and the cost of replacing moss, plants, decorations, and layers.

Please note that damages caused by overwatering, drying out, breaking the glassware, or other forms of customer-induced damage are excluded from our free repair service.

We will provide all necessary information and answer any questions to help you maintain a healthy and happy terrarium.
