This high-quality soil blend is specifically formulated to provide the perfect balance of aeration, drainage, and nutrients, which are crucial for preventing root rot and promoting healthy growth.

Vermiculite
Rated 5.00 out of 5From: £4.00Vermiculite is a great option for plants that require a lot of water and thrive in moist soil.
This lightweight material can retain a large amount of water because of its hydrophilic properties. When watered, the small golden pieces of vermiculite expand and hold moisture, gradually releasing it back into the soil even days after watering.
It is particularly beneficial for plants such as ferns, calathea, maranta, peace lilies, and alocasia that need regular watering.
Vermiculite is also suitable for use as a plant propagation medium and an effective medium for seeding trays. It helps maintain the moisture and nutrients necessary for young roots, which can easily die off in a dry growing medium.
Using vermiculite can increase the success rate of growing plants from cuttings and seeds compared to using plain soil. It can be used alone or mixed with soil and other components. With a neutral pH of 7-7.5, vermiculite can be used for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants.
