The clay used to fire terracotta planters is breathable and can absorb water, releasing it when plants need it. Perfect for succulents and cacti, helps to prevent overwatering. Perfect as a planter to display plants in plastic nursery pots.
Please note that these handmade terracotta planters have some imperfections, discolourations and even sometimes small chips which do not impact the quality but only add an extra character.

Not quite as expected. I chose the smaller size with no drainage. These are nice looking pots but difficult to water as they are unglazed so water seeps through the clay and creates a damp patch. I have decided to use mine for small succulent plants which don’t need watering too often, and have put a saucer underneath to prevent seeping.
