This slow-growing plant is recommended for people who have a little bit of experience with orchids but the glass terrarium makes it much easier to maintain the humidity so if you thinking about adding Jewel Orchids to your collection, this is a perfect first plant!

Macodes Petola is a form of Jawel Orchid with a stunning foliage plant with neon fluorescent veins. This species flowers in autumn-winter with tiny, white flowers. This slow-growing plant is recommended for people who have a little bit of experience with orchids but the glass terrarium makes it much easier to maintain the humidity so if you thinking about adding Jawel Orchids to your collection, this is a perfect first plant!

Please be aware that this is a small plant in 6cm pot. Suitable for terrariums and moss bowls. Match perfectly with our live sphagnum, cushion or sheet moss.

How to look after the plant

Jawel orchid would enjoy a warm spot in bright indirect light and keep the soil slightly moist all the time. The plant will thrive in higher humidity, terrarium, bathroom or around a humidifier.

If leaves drop it usually means underwatering, water by slowly increasing the amount of water until the leaves will start looking better.

How should I water my Macodes Petola to keep it healthy?: Keep the soil slightly moist at all times, especially in warmer conditions. If the leaves start to droop, increase watering gradually until the plant looks revitalised.
