The Hoya Linearis features unique linear-shaped leaves in light green colour. Sometimes called also wax plant is a must-have for any plant lover!

This houseplant is not only visually appealing but also easy to care for. Will be a perfect match for a workplace, school or a person who travels a lot and leave their plants unattended for a longer period of time. The Hoya Linearis thrives in a very bright environment, but it can tolerate moderate levels of indirect sunlight as well as direct early morning or early afternoon direct light.

Hoya Linearis plants should be treated semi-succulent, do not overwater and provide lots of bright sunlight. Roots of hoya plants are very sensitive t overwatering and would be rather neglected.

There are over 300 known species of Hoya which exhibit a wide range of characteristics, including variations in leaf shape, flower colour and scent. The name Hoya was given to this genus in honour of 18th-century botanist and gardener Thomas Hoy who was employed at the Duke of Northumberland’s in England.

How often should I water my Hoya Linearis?: Water the plant sparingly, allowing the top few centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can harm the sensitive roots, so it’s better to err on the side of dryness.
Is the Hoya Linearis suitable for offices or homes with low natural light?: While it prefers bright, indirect sunlight, it can tolerate medium light levels. It’s ideal for spaces with some natural light, such as near a window with sheer curtains.
