      • 1. DrainageThe base of your terrarium is the drainage layer. this is a reservoir where extra water is safely stored, away from the plant roots.

Plant Care Workshop

Get educated on your favourite plants

We all love plants but there is so much to learn! This is why we have created these workshops where we will focus on one particular genus of plant. Learn with us along with getting your own plant so you can keep learning long after our workshop.

Book now →

  • For beginners to learn all about their favourite plants
  • A plant from the genus being discussed is included
  • Feel confident by understanding how your plant grows

We know that it is hard to sift through all the information out there about the thousands of different plants out there. We created this workshop so that you have a fun and practical way of learning about a specific plant, genus or kind of plant (e.g. aroids or bonsai).

You will get a plant of your own with our workshop and you will be able to apply the things you have learned to help your plant thrive at home.

The workshop is held at our shop on Constitution Street, Aberdeen. We host up to 6 people total so it is very relaxed. Please check the bottom of this page for more general information about our workshops.

Plant Care Workshop

We will tell you all about the plant in focus for the workshop. From where the plant originates, to how it grows and the interesting quirks it has developed for survival.

We will then tell you about how the plant grows and the environment it thrives in. Then, we will do some practical exercises such as repotting the plant and making a cutting.

Next, you will learn some more advanced skills, such as identifying pasts and making your own soil mix for this kind of plant.

Afterwards, you will have your plant to take home and keep for a long and happy life together!

Plant Care Workshop

Each of these plants will be a little different, depending on the type of plant discussed. Please check the event details in our booking area to see what is in store.

Duration

Please reserve a minimum of 60 minutes for the workshop.

Plants Variety

The variety of plants which we will use in the workshop depends on our fresh stock and may vary. Please check the individual event in the booking area for details about your chosen workshop.
