Alocasia Melo Rugosa Elephant Ear Plant 10cm pot

One of the most beautiful alocasia plants from the family Araceae, native to Malaysia. Also sold as Alocasia Rugosa due to its highly rugose leaves dark blue-green foliage contrasts with dark veins creating a masterpiece of nature.

Please keep away from cold drafts. Sometimes goes into dormancy during the winter, may lose a few leaves, grows slower or stop growing for a few weeks. The dormancy is triggered by cold temperatures and lower levels of light. To prevent it provide lots of bright light, and increase temperatures to around 21 degrees. But remember that dormancy is a natural part of Alocasia’s life cycle and ”saving mode” for the plant during colder months. It will not kill or hurt the plant so if your plant loses leaves or grow much slower let it do it and get ready for new leaves and speedy growth after the winter period 🙂
