Sempervivum are easy plants which can be grown indoors or outdoors. Sempervivums are evergreen succulents, native to Europe and Asia where grow in mountain regions. The name Sempervivum origin from the words: Semper and vivus, in Latin means always living because those perennial plants keep their colour all year round. The common name houseleek comes from the Anglo-Saxon word leac which means just a plant since these grow on and around houses. According to old beliefs, Sempervivum wards off the fire and lightning strikes. Some people still hold the old folk belief that having Sempervivum growing on the roof of their house ensures the health and prosperity of those who live there.
Please be aware that those plants grow in a rustic, terracotta planter which is covered with some soil, mineral excess buildup etc.
Those plants will thrive in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Require minimum watering and if growth outside doesn’t require any watering during autumn and winter.
It should just take a few seconds but can take up to a minute to write your guide.
