Philodendrons are native to the Americas and found stretching across the continent from north to south. They are almost always found in high-humidity environments, along rivers, in swamps and of course, in their most comfortable environment, tropical rainforests. The species consists of two main types, non-trailing and vining plants which are both popular amongst houseplant lovers for the abundant feeling they create.
Philodendrons, which literally translates from Greek into ‘love trees’ will enjoy one of our handmade, fresh, sphagnum moss poles!
☀️☀️▫️ (Medium)
The Philodendron Hastatum Silver Queen thrives in medium light conditions. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate some shade. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
💧💧▫️ (Medium)
Water your Silver Queen when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which could harm the plant’s roots.
🌡️🌡️🌡️ (Warm)
This tropical plant loves warmth, ideally between 18°C and 27°C. Keep it away from draughty windows and doors during the colder months.
💦💦💦 (High)
High humidity levels mimic the Silver Queen’s natural rainforest habitat. Consider using a humidifier or placing the plant in a well-lit bathroom to keep it happy.
Philodendron Hastatum enjoys a loose, well-draining soil. Repot every 2-3 years to give it space to grow and refresh the nutrient availability. Spring is the best time for repotting to take advantage of the plant’s natural growth spurt.
Take care as Philodendrons are toxic to pets. If you have curious cats or dogs, place the plant out of their reach.
This plant fits beautifully in living rooms, home offices, or any area with filtered light. Its striking silver foliage makes it a fantastic focal point or a delightful addition to any plant collection.
Philodendrons are known for their air-purifying qualities, removing certain toxins from the air and making it fresher and cleaner.
The Silver Queen is not only aesthetically appealing with its glossy, silvery leaves but it’s also one of the faster-growing Philodendrons. Great for beginners or those impatient for growth!

The plants are well taken care of and from the few times I’ve bought from them never had any issues with the plants. 10/10 care would definitely recommend buying either only or in person.
Really excellent service. I ordered Dicranum that was delivered in great and 24 hours. Will be using again!
