Let us introduce Fiona the Sweetheart Tree. Also known as Ficus Triangularis Sweetheart or Triangle Fig. She is big and beautiful at approx 50-60cm tall and house in a 17cm diameter nursery pot.

This is a highly sought after beauty, with funky triangle/heart shaped leaves with beautiful variegation. Plus she also purifies the air!

How to care for Fiona

Fiona is not too dramatic, water the plant when the soil dries out. If you over water her, you will see the leaves drop so let her dry out if this happens. She will be happy at room temperature but avoid cold draughts. She is not picky about humidity but the odd mist may be welcome.

Plant Pro Tip

If you are pruning Fiona, she may ooze out sticky latex – wash your hands if this comes into contact with your skin. You may also notice red spots appearing under the leaves, this is not an issue but a natural pigmentation to protect against sunlight. They may come and go through the year.
