The leaves of the Alocasia start out as a vibrant, copper metallic colour when they first emerge. As the leaves mature, they develop a darker, metallic green-purple-blue tint. The unique colouring of the mature leaves can be likened to the appearance of a gasoline stain on water. This stunning combination of colours adds to the exotic and captivating beauty of this plant.
