Philodendrons would enjoy a warm spot in bright indirect light and be watered when the soil dries out. Make sure that the pot does not touch the water. They like to climb on trees so we advise providing a moss pole to encourage the plant to grow faster and produce bigger leaves. Moss poles help to maintain an adequate level of humidity as well as provide beauty and something to climb on. Mist the plant and moss pole every few days or every day during summertime.
Not pet friendly
☀️☀️▫️ (Medium)
Your Golden Pothos thrives in bright, indirect light. It’s adaptable, but too much direct sunlight might scorch the leaves, whereas too little light can cause the leaves to become less variegated.
💧💧▫️ (Medium)
Water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. Ensure thorough watering each time but allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering as this can lead to root rot.
🌡️🌡️🌡️ (Warm)
Golden Pothos prefers warmer conditions. Try to maintain a temperature between 18°C – 24°C for optimal growth. Avoid draughty areas which could cause temperature fluctuations.
💦💦▫️ (Moderate)
This plant enjoys humidity, but doesn’t require as high levels as more tropical plants. Misting the leaves and moss pole regularly can help increase humidity around the plant.
Philodendron Devils Ivy doesn’t mind being a bit root-bound, but should be repotted every 2-3 years to prevent excessive root crowding and to refresh the soil. Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally rich in organic matter.
Unfortunately, the Golden Pothos is not pet-friendly. It can be toxic if ingested by pets, so it’s best kept out of reach of curious paws and noses.
This versatile plant fits beautifully in many areas such as living rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. Just ensure there’s sufficient light and it’s away from direct heat sources.
Yes, the Golden Pothos is known for its air-purifying qualities. It can help remove toxins like formaldehyde and xylene from your home environment.
Besides its stunning look, the Golden Pothos is particularly known for its hardiness and adaptability, making it ideal for both beginner and experienced plant enthusiasts.
