Anacampseros rufescens Sunrise Succulent – Colourful, Low-Maintenance, Pet-Friendly
The Anacampseros rufescens, often nicknamed Sunrise Succulent, is a compact and eye-catching succulent with fleshy leaves that turn vivid shades of pink, red, orange, and purple when exposed to bright light or sun stress. This hardy plant naturally grows in a rosette formation, with trailing stems that can form a colourful mat over time.
The Senecio Rowleyanus, commonly known as String of Pearls, is a stunning trailing succulent with small, bead-like leaves that resemble a cascade of pearls. Senecio plants are succulents and will be sent in dry soil if possible. Fill your brightest rooms with full light level plants that love strong sun and thrive on south- or west-facing windowsills. These sun-lovers soak up 4–6+ hours of direct light, rewarding you with sturdy growth, vivid colour, and (for some) blooms.
Place plants within 0-1m of the window, rotate weekly for even growth, and water when the soil has dried through – good drainage is essential. If midday rays are intense, a sheer curtain helps prevent leaf scorch. Feed lightly in spring and summer to keep growth vibrant.
