This beautiful Epipremnum Cebu Blue belongs to the Family of Araceae, specifically the Epipremnum Pinnatum species and has gained popularity worldwide as a stunning houseplant due to its unique blue foliage and ease of care.
The plant would enjoy a warm spot in bright indirect light and be watered when the top of the soil dries out. Cebu Blye likes to climb on trees in a natural environment so we advise adding a moss pole to encourage the plant to grow faster and produce bigger leaves but you can keep it also as a hanging plant.
Not Pet Friendly
☀️☀️▫️ (Medium)
The Epipremnum Pinnatum Cebu Blue thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some shade, but too little light may cause it to lose some of its vibrant blue hues. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves.
💧💧▫️ (Medium)
Water your Cebu Blue when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. It’s happiest when the soil is kept consistently moist, but not soggy.
🌡️🌡️🌡️ (Warm)
This plant prefers warm environments typical of a Scottish home, ideally between 18°C to 24°C. It can tolerate slight fluctuations but keep it away from cold draughts and radiators.
💦💦▫️ (Moderate)
Cebu Blue enjoys a bit of humidity but doesn’t require the steamy conditions some tropical plants crave. Keeping it in a kitchen or bathroom where the air is usually moister can help it thrive, or you might use a humidifier.
Repot your Cebu Blue every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining potting mix ideally suited for aroids. Adding a moss pole can help mimic its natural climbing tendencies and support its growth.
Not Pet Friendly. Keep this plant out of reach of curious cats and dogs as it can be toxic if ingested.
Place your Cebu Blue in spots with ample indirect light like near east or west-facing windows. It can also enhance less sunny corners if kept near a good artificial light source. Ideal spots include living rooms, well-lit bathrooms, or kitchens.
This plant is known for its ability to purify the air, making it not just beautiful but also beneficial for your home environment.
Cebu Blue is not only visually striking with its silvery-blue leaves but it’s also a versatile plant that can be grown as a climber or a trailer. Whether trained up a moss pole or cascading from a hanging basket, it adds a touch of the exotic to any space.
