Our fresh cushion moss, sustainably harvested from North East Scotland, offers vibrant green, dense mounds perfect for terrariums, fairy gardens, soil toppers, and crafts like moss walls or bowls. Easy to care for, just mist or water occasionally.

Custom sizes available on request. Some natural debris may be present, easily brushed off.

Cushion Moss (Leucobryum glaucum)

Our cushion moss is freshly harvested several times a month from the pristine landscapes of North East Scotland, always with permission and sustainable practices. While each piece may vary seasonally, you can expect vibrant, lush mounds perfect for terrariums, fairy gardens, soil toppers, or crafts like moss walls and frames.

Care Instructions: Mist or water periodically to keep the moss fresh.

The moss may contain some natural debris, which can be gently brushed off. If you have any questions about our current stock, feel free to ask!

How often should I water my cushion moss?: Periodically mist your cushion moss to keep it vibrant and healthy; typically, a light misting once or twice a week is sufficient. Adjust frequency based on the humidity of your environment.
Can this moss be used in any type of terrarium?: Yes, our cushion moss is ideal for both open and closed terrariums. Its versatility makes it perfect for creating a lush, green base in various terrarium settings.

I did not expect the items in my order to be so stunning and utterly joyous! The moss just sprang into verdant glory as soon as I unshackled it from its wax paper and unleashed it in its prepared spot in the miniature Lord of the Rings mood garden 🤪 As I said to the postie, forget snow to eskimos, we are shipping moss to Argyll! Lovely wee selection. The moss pole with cup is brilliantly designed and will make my monstera much happier in a room heated with a log burner and near a radiator. She is already very tolerant and happy but this will hopefully set her up for winter. A daily drench of warmed rainwater on that pole will recreate Amazonia for a plant that in my experience loves heat as long as humidity is good and I’m confident she will take over the world. Please never stop doing extensions!
