Cypress-Leaved Plait Moss (Hypnum Cupressiforme) – A Versatile Carpet Moss

lovely moss
Moss not great quality, full of pine needles nearly more pine than moss.
Also since putting in my prop box it hasn’t bounced back vibrantly, as other moss I’ve bought in the past from other companies has.
Hi Adam,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the moss you received.
We take great pride in the quality of our products, especially our moss – it’s one of our core specialities, and we were delighted to supply five gardens at RHS Chelsea this year (four Gold medals and one People’s Choice Award!). So it’s surprising and disappointing to hear that your order didn’t meet expectations.
We always include a little extra moss to account for natural variation and are very careful with our quality checks. Cypress plait moss often grows alongside pine, so a few needles can naturally appear, but we take time to remove the bulk of it without damaging the moss itself. It’s possible that transit caused some movement, especially if the parcel was handled roughly.
We’d love the opportunity to make this right. If you could email us at contact@highlandmoss.com with a couple of photos and let us know how long the moss has been in your prop box, we’ll do our best to help and ensure you receive the high standard you expected.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Craig at Highland Moss
