The Dieffenbachia Reflector, also known as the Dumb Cane plant, is a with vibrant green leaves with striking yellow, white and cream variegation.

Dieffenbachia is a relatively low-maintenance houseplant, making it perfect even for people without any plant experience! It thrives in moderate lighting conditions, preferring bright, indirect light, but can adapt to lower light settings as well. Water when the soil dries and clean leaves with water and a soft cloth regularly to remove dust.

The name Dumb Cane has been earned by the plants’ intriguing characteristics. When chewed, the plant can cause temporary issues with speaking. I did not expect the items in my order to be so stunning and utterly joyous! The moss just sprang into verdant glory as soon as I unshackled it from its wax paper and unleashed it in its prepared spot in the miniature Lord of the Rings mood garden 🤪 As I said to the postie, forget snow to eskimos, we are shipping moss to Argyll! Lovely wee selection. The moss pole with cup is brilliantly designed and will make my monstera much happier in a room heated with a log burner and near a radiator. She is already very tolerant and happy but this will hopefully set her up for winter. A daily drench of warmed rainwater on that pole will recreate Amazonia for a plant that in my experience loves heat as long as humidity is good and I’m confident she will take over the world. Please never stop doing extensions!
