  • Imperfect Plants Rescue Bag

    From: £10.00

Po Help Us Reduce Waste and Save Imperfect Plants: At Highland Moss, we’re committed to sustainability by reducing waste and reusing materials. While many expect ‘perfect plants,’ we save those with minor imperfections by donating them to local community centres, schools, and non-profits. We’ve also created Rescue and Imperfect Plant Boxes for customers who love giving these unique plants a second chance.

Plant Rescue Box: These boxes contain plants that have faced some challenges, such as heavy leaf damage, discolouration, chopped tops, sunburn, or previous pest or fungal issues. Despite their imperfections, they still have great potential. Offered at a 25–35% discount, they need extra TLC to flourish again.

Imperfect Plant Box: This option is for plants with minor cosmetic flaws, like leaf damage or discolouration, but in better condition than the rescue plants. They’re ready to grow, available at a 15–30% discount, depending on the damage.

Imperfect Plant Box RARE & UNUSUAL: Featuring rare varieties like Monstera Albo, Thai Constellation, and more, these plants come with minor imperfections but are still healthy and unique.  They’re ready to grow, available at a 15–30% discount, depending on the damage.

Although these plants may be damaged or imperfect, with extra care, they can still thrive and grow beautifully

Lepismium Bolivianum Chain Succulent X-LARGE 21cm pot

    £74.00 £62.90

The Lepismium Bolivanium is not your regular cactus. Unlike most cacti that dwell in desert-like environments, this vivid trailing epiphyte (a plant that grows in or on the trunks and limbs of other plants and trees) is native to the tropical evergreen forests of Bolivia.

Found only in these forests high above sea level in warm humid environments.  It also goes by the common name Chain cactus which perfectly describes its look.

Overall this plant is perfect for those who may not have the environment to house a dessert-style cactus but still want to be part of the club. This very forgiving plant can tolerate lower light conditions and a touch of neglect making it a great choice for beginners or those who often forget to water their plants but still want a touch of green in their homes.

Please note due to nature of the product every single plant will be different and unique, there may be some cosmetic damages on the leaves which do not impact plants health.

Aeschynanthus Twister Lipstick Plant 15cm potAeschynanthus Twister Lipstick Plant 15cm pot

Aeschynanthus Twister Lipstick Plant 15cm pot

    £32.00 £27.20

Aeschynanthus Rasta s a stunningly beautiful and unique plant. The leaves of the Aeschynanthus Rasta are thick and leathery, with a wavy edge that adds a sense of movement and dynamism to the overall display. The plant grows in a vine-like manner and at the end of each stem, a cluster of tubular, bright red flowers emerges, resembling a tube of lipstick. This native to tropical regions of Southeast Asia is also commonly referred to as a lipstick plant because of the shape of its flowers.

Aeschynanthus is a must-consider option if you are looking for your next trailing or hanging plant to brighten up your indoor space. These beautiful trailing epiphytes cascade out of their pots forming chainlink-like stems of bright glossy green foliage. If this plant only produced its foliage it would still be one of the best-looking houseplants around, but what sets this magical wonder apart from the rest is the incredible blooms of flowers, which is the reason it has been given the common name the lipstick plant. It produces clusters of vividly coloured red tuberous flowers that seemingly pop out of a deep maroon bud that gives it the appearance of a tube of lipstick.

This one-of-a-kind and easy-to-care-for evergreen belongs to the family Gesneriaceae which is made up of around 150 different species of tropical and sub-tropical plants, most of which originate from Southeast Asia. Like a lot of our favourite houseplants, this one is also found in humidity-rich jungle-like environments where they normally live as epiphytes, meaning they live by clinging to tree branches or tucked into crevices and cracks of rocks. In the wild, these marvellous plants can trail down in lengths of up to four to five feet and produce prolific displays of flowers that produce some of the best nectar that is irresistible to sunbirds.
