Monstera Adansonii Variegated Aurea Small Plant 14cm pot
£170.00
Characteristics
Monstera Variegated Aurea
The Monstera Adasonii Variegated Aurea is a very rare plant from Central America and belongs to Araceae family. Also know as Monkey Mask, Monkey Face, Mini Monstera or Monkey Plants.
Although the plant is similar in shape to Monstera Adasonii has special discolourations in the leaves called variegation. New leaves have lighter green patterns that will fade with time and become lighter.
Due to variegation the plant will require more light than regular green Monstera Adasonii and may grow a little bit smaller. Sometimes very light parts may turn brown as the variegated (lighter) parts of the leaves are more sensitive and not as strong as green.
You will receive one plant in a 15cm nursery pot, exactly the same which is presented in the pictures. There are minor cosmetic damages on the leaves, please make sure that you are happy about it before buying.ย
The plant is potted in Highland Moss potting mix.ย
Care
The plant will enjoy a spot in bright light but away from direct sunlight. Variegated Monstera needs more light in order to thrive than the green form!
Keep the temperature around 17-24 degrees, water when the soil dries out and do not overwater. Higher humidity and moss pole will help the plant to grow bigger leaves.
In her natural environment, Monstera would climb on trees so she would love a moss pole to encourage the plant to grow faster and produce bigger leaves. Moss poles help to maintain a good level of humidity.
*The plant is toxic to pets.*
