Piper sylvaticum AKA Chavica sylvatica in 12cm pot

(1 customer review)

This is a very special, absolutely beautiful plant. This is the Piper Sylvaticum (aka Chavica Sylvatica) lets just call her Piper for short!

This plant is highly coveted for its stunning foliage and really adds to the home jungle look. These plants grow wild beneath the subtropical rainforest canopies of northwestern Assam. In Tibet the mashed leaves are used as an anti-inflammatory treatment – but perhaps over here at home you may be best sticking with Ibuprofen!

Despite the rarity and high value of these plants, they are quite easy to look after and suitable for any plant lover, you don’t have to be a pro.

You will receive one plant in a 12cm pot.

Additional information

Sun

This plant likes to get a good amount of light so a high to medium amount is best.

Water

Like most tropical houseplants, water her when the top couple of inches of soil are dried out. Don't let the plant sit in water.

Humidity

She will also do well with a humid spot, but don't worry she doesn't need the high humidity treatment like some other plants such as Calathea.

If you love a heart shaped leaf with silver variegation, you will love this plant. Pictures do not do piper sylvaticum justice, you need to see the foliage in life with natural light. It is stunning. The plant I got from Highland Moss is gorgeous and above my expectations. Speedy delivery (by hand as I live locally! :P) and sustainable packaging. I attach some pictures of my plant (which i have provisionally staked with a skewer, but will def get a better support once the plant has settled into my home). Do your judgement but i highly recommend this one!
